Roberta Annan is a globally renowned impact investor, philanthropist and activist for women and young people. She has a focus on developing investment opportunities for African entrepreneurs, particularly in the creative industries. She founded her own company, Annan Capital Partners, as well as the Impact Fund for African Creatives (IFFAC), an investment vehicle targeting US $150 million to support Africa’s creative sector. Her passion for sustainable fashion is manifest in her 2011-founded Africa Fashion Foundation that supports the continent’s growing fashion industry, as well as the African Fashion Foundation scholarship at Accademia costume e Mode in Italy and the Roberta Annan scholarship at Condé Nast College in London, which she established for Africans in 2022, following the pandemic.
Annan has been hailed by various media as one of the most influential business leaders in Africa and is the youngest African to be inducted into the African Leadership Hall of Fame. She sits on the boards of numerous organizations and is a member of the Trade and Investment Taskforce Committee for the B-20, the British Fashion Trust and The Invest Africa Club.
