Green Jobs for Youth

Co-created by UNEP, UNICEF, and ILO, this bold new pact aims to equip every young person with the green skills and jobs needed to actively contribute to—and thrive in—a just transition for all.

The Green Jobs for Youth Pact is an ambitious and unique partnership between UNEP, UNICEF and ILO with and for young people to support a just transition that boost green and decent jobs for jobs.

The Green Jobs for Youth Pact increases commitment and accelerates action toward green job creation focused on youth, particularly from the most disadvantaged and climate-vulnerable groups. The Pact focuses on high-impact and climate-vulnerable sectors. In doing so, it supports enabling policy frameworks for youth employment and sustainable economic growth, advances the greening of businesses, and provides knowledge and new skills necessary for the green jobs and a better future.   The Pact calls on all actors to be part of this unique partnership for action to close the skills gap in developing countries, targeting climate-vulnerable sectors and contributing to a systemic change harvesting benefits for people, the planet and prosperity.   Commit Your Contributions to the Pact here.   Curious to explore how you can contribute to the Pact?
