Youth
At its core, the Green Jobs for Youth Pact places youth at the heart of the green transition:
- Embedding youth leadership: Through a dedicated Youth Advisory Group, with representatives from global 6 expert youth constituencies, the Pact embeds youth leadership at every stage of its design, implementation, and scaling, ensuring young people have a direct voice in shaping initiatives and programs that affect their futures. For more information, check the Youth Advisory Group members list here.
- Aligning with global commitments: The Summit of the Future and the Declaration on Future Generations reaffirm the collective responsibility to embed youth perspectives in global and national decision-making processes. The Pact contributes to the Summit’s focus on “Youth and Future Generations”, one of the five chapters of the Pact for the Future, which includes clear commitments on “strengthening meaningful youth participation at the national and international level”.
