This flagship event is part of the International Day of Zero Waste 2025 celebrations.
The third annual International Day of Zero Waste will be observed on 30 March 2025, highlighting the importance of sustainable production and consumption patterns in achieving a zero-waste future. This year, the theme “Towards Zero Waste in Fashion and Textiles” underscores the urgent need for sustainable practices in an industry that significantly contributes to waste generation and pollution worldwide. By fostering the principles of prevention, reduction, reuse, repurposing, and recycling, we can advance the global commitment to #BeatWastePollution while aligning with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, particularly SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).
This global webinar will bring together youth participants from diverse backgrounds, fostering cross- regional collaboration and the exchange of innovative ideas. By leveraging digital platforms, UNEP aims to ensure inclusive participation, enabling young changemakers from all corners of the world to contribute to the zero-waste movement and drive impactful change within the fashion industry.
