7-9 October 2024 - Regional Network Meeting of French-Speaking African Countries The National Ozone Officers Network, part of UNEP’s OzonAction CAP, helps Officers in developing countries implement the Montreal Protocol. The meetings focus on sharing best practices, addressing compliance targets, and tackling emerging issues.
The main objective of the Network Meeting is to deliver to National Ozone Officers (NOOs) the skills and resources required to achieve and sustain national implementation of the Montreal Protocol for the phase out of ODS. The meeting will provide NOOs the opportunity for training, exchange of expertise, information sharing, building capacity to influence decision-making processes at the national and regional levels, and coordination with bilateral and implementing agencies.
The meeting intends to achieve theory and practice training and certification sessions for trainers on servicing best practices and safe handling of F-Gases.
Deliver theory and hands-on practical training, following EU's standards.
Training and assessment under the EU F-Gas Certification for 20 Master Trainers from eight selected countries from Africa francophone region.
The main objective of the Thematic workshop on KIP preparation is an orientation and capacity building for National Ozone Officers (NOO) and national experts from the Africa Francophone region. The workshop will provide national Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC) experts an opportunity for training, exchange of expertise, information sharing, capacity building to collect data, utilize OzonAction tools, and design Kigali HFC Implementation Plans (KIPs) projects in the Region.
