Twinning Workshop for Montreal Protocol Officers, Energy-Efficiency Policy Makers, and Financial Mechanisms Focal Points to Support Kigali Amendment Objectives back-to-back with (i) Thematic Meeting on Establishment and Implementation of Competency-based Certification and (ii) Thematic Workshop on Strategy of Stage I of the Kigali HFC Implementation Plan (KIP) and Integration with the HCFC Phase-out Management Plan (HPMP) Stage II in Pacific Island Countries (PIC) Network.
The main objective of the Pilot Advanced Training for National Ozone Officers is to build upon the introductory NOO training and engage NOOs in more advanced topics related to operational activities under the Montreal Protocol projects and practical data reporting to the Ozone and Multilateral Fund Secretariats. The training will support national governments in meeting their commitments under the Montreal Protocol, including the Kigali Amendment on HFCs.
The main objective of the Network Meeting is to deliver to National Ozone Officers (NOOs) the skills and resources required to achieve and sustain national implementation of the Montreal Protocol for the phase out of ODS. The meeting will provide NOOs the opportunity for training, exchange of expertise, information sharing, building capacity to influence decision-making processes at the national and regional levels, and coordination with bilateral and implementing agencies.
This workshop for Women in the Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning sector explores initiatives to mainstream gender nationally and regionally and create an enabling environment for greater participation of women in the HCFC phase-out and HFC phase-down.
The main objective of the proposed study visit is to learn experience from relevant stakeholders in Indonesia in establishing and implementing the competency-based certification system of RAC technicians to further strengthen the implementation capacity of HPMP activities in their countries. The study visit would allow participants to exchange experiences, good practices, and lessons learned on the establishment and implementation of a competency-based certification system.
This meeting will bring together National Ozone Officers from Europe & Central Asia and West Asia regions to share experiences and good practices as well as the latest technical and policy developments under the Montreal Protocol, particularly following the entry into force of the Kigali Amendment.
