Plastic Pollution Map
Working with volunteer citizen scientists from local communities, the Mississippi River Plastic Pollution Initiative records data on the state of plastic pollution along the rive to generate a ‘plastic pollution map’ aimed at helping policymakers, businesses and citizens take action.
Different points show where data has been collected. As more people log debris they find along the River, more points will be generated on the map.
