The Special Programme has successfully processed seven rounds of applications since its inception in 2015. This brings the total of 83 projects approved across seven rounds of funding (35 in Africa, 22 in Asia Pacific, 15 in Central and Eastern Europe and 11 in Latin America and the Caribbean). The Special Programme is currently funding projects from 70 countries.
