Maurice supports the portfolio on IPMR. Prior to UNEP, he founded the NGO Children of Hope India before working for the Indian High Commission, and then as a business development manager for law firm Chabi Otieno Chiteri Advocates. Chabi is a Kenyan national and holds a BSc in Communication Engineering from the National institute of Technology, Silchar, India. 

Daria supports the portfolio on project and programme development and monitoring and evaluation. She previously interned for UNEP before relocating to Nairobi support the Unit's work on SAICM. Daria is a Russian national and holds a BSc Molecular Biology and Sustainability. 

Lisa supports communication for the UN Environment Programme’s Global Environment Facility project portfolio. In her role, she leverages her expertise in digital brand management, public relations, and content production to enhance the visibility and impact of environmental initiatives.

Samwel is the Communication Expert for the UN Environment Programme's Global Environment Facility (GEF) International Waters.

Andreu supports the coordination of the Unit work.

Jiya supports the Global Portfolio with the design and implementation of GEF and GCF climate mitigation projects. She has worked on sustainable cities projects, electric mobility as well as GEF integrated programmes.  

Susan works on the development of GEF-funded Enabling Activities proposals supporting country reporting under the UNFCCC and Paris Agreement.

Jone supports the Global Environment Facility (GEF) portfolio of Climate Change Mitigation projects, specifically e-mobility projects and programs in Latin America and the Caribbean.  

Juliane manages all data within the Climate Change Mitigation (CCM) Portfolio.

Nina oversees Communication activities and strategy for the GEF funded Mitigation portfolio at UNEP.

Nina has 14 years of working experience in journalism and communications and has worked for NGOs and institutions focused on development, humanitarian aid and climate action in India, Myanmar, Iraq, Syria, Turkey and the European Union.

Mateo supports the Global Portfolio of the Climate Change Mitigation Unit, focusing on net-zero, nature-positive development, and urban nature solutions. He has seven years of experience in climate and urban policy.

Paula is a project specialist for the GEF Mitigation Unit. She oversees the development and implementation of projects on sustainable cities, electric mobility, energy transition and climate transparency in Latin America.  

Federico works as a project specialist for the Latin America and the Caribbean team, supporting the Global Environment Facility (GEF) portfolio of Climate Change Mitigation projects.

Ana Celeste supports the Global Environment Facility (GEF) portfolio of Climate Change Mitigation projects, especially projects and programs of Latin America and the Caribbean, focusing mainly on transparency, e-mobility and energy efficiency projects throughout the region.

Marcellus supports the GEF climate change mitigation enabling activities projects.

Alphonse Mutabazi is a home-based Consultant for Climate Change Enabling Activities 

Ignacio develops, oversees and evaluates GEF climate change mitigation initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean focusing on energy transition, net-zero nature-positive integrated projects and sustainable mobility, partnering with local and global stakeholders to collaborate on relevance and impact.

Tania works on GEF Global Climate Change Mitigation projects.

She oversees project development and implementation for global projects mainly related to sustainable cities and electric mobility. She has more than 10 years of experience in the environment sector, including on adaptation to climate change, energy efficiency, and climate transparency.

Sonja works on GEF funded Global Climate Mitigation projects, and she is also the focal point for GCF projects in the Climate Mitigation Unit.  

She supports project development and implementation of global projects focused on climate technology solutions and low-carbon development.  

Camilla supports the Global Environment Facility (GEF) portfolio of Climate Change Mitigation projects, especially projects and programs of Europe and Central Asia and Africa regional portfolio, including project development and implementation in the areas of electric mobility, climate transparency, energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainable cities and low-carbon buildings.

Moema works in project development focused on the Capacity Building Initiative for Transparency (CBIT) portfolio since 2018, mostly in Africa, with the aim of enhancing climate transparency.

Luiza supports the Global Environment Facility (GEF) portfolio of Climate Change Mitigation projects, especially projects and programs in Latin America and the Caribbean, focusing mainly on transparency, e-mobility, building efficiency and sustainable cities projects throughout the region.

Rocío supports the portfolio Task Management. Prior to UNEP, she worked for UNIDO on artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM) and cocoa production. Rocío is a Spanish national and holds a BA in International Relations and Politics and an MA in International Business Management. 

Natalie is an environmental engineer with over 15 years of experience in conservation, spatial analysis, Integrated Water Resources Management, and project design and implementation. She has extensive experience working with cooperation agencies, indigenous and rural communities, in multidisciplinary teams and with the public sector.
